Load testing of a credit system

GE Money Bank, a subsidiary of the General Electric group, offered consumer credits and issued Visa credit cards.

The Bank entrusted Develonica with the task of testing the performance of the Bank’s credit system in a scenario where a significant increase of the number of users was forecasted

During the load testing project the specialists of Develonica identified the maximum number of users that can be served by the system without going beyond specified productivity requirements. Besides, Develonica revealed the system’s “bottlenecks” - the operations that create the most significant load on the software. Based on testing results Develonica made recommendations on improving the system’s performance.

The obtained results allowed GE Money Bank to efficiently eliminate potential problems with the system functioning, to minimize the costs of additional equipment and software and to implement business expansion program without the risks of the information system failure.
