A Set of Additional Services for the Restaurant Tables Booking System

Challenge

The key service of the system allows booking tables in restaurants. The peak of the pandemic raised the new requirements to provide new functionality of the system:
  • creation of digital menu;
  • contactless ordering of meals;
  • contactless order payment;
  • preorder and restaurant delivery support.

Solution

Our customer got additional modules for the key service with Menu Manager and Digital Order Manager:
  • Menu Manager as a restaurant menu editor allows users to upload data from POS, expand it with descriptions and graphical images and create a digital version of the menu for mobile application.
  • Digital Order Manager as an order management system shows all stages of order processing, from getting to cooking and delivery.
Develonica has developed additional modules with Microsoft Visual Studio and Amazon Web Services.

Result

Developed Service Menu Manager allows to provide a full cycle of services for restaurants from ordering to delivery, its direct analogues do not exist. Compared to similar services for the consumer market such as GrubHub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, these services do not support extensive menus with a lot of different dishes.
Moreover Menu Manager has integration with a lot of POS-systems, including Oracle Simphony and more than a score of others via Omnivore. That makes it easy and time-saving for the customer to implement the system in the restaurant.
